KAREN BENTZ, PROJECT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Karen Bentz, ASLA, CLARB Certified Landscape Architect, Project Development Director  Karen is a licensed Landscape Architect in the both Florida and Tennessee. She works with various municipal and county governments in developing entry signage programs, streetscape design, the revitalization and beautification of urban corridors, and the design of city parks.

Karen has designed and served as project manager for numerous parks for the City of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County, including Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Apoxee Wilderness Preserve, and Grassy Waters Preserve, and was the recipient of the Florida Design Arts Award for her team work on the Grassy Waters Preserve project. Karen was also awarded the Honor Award for Environmental Sustainability Award for Wakodahatchee Wetland, a Palm Beach County Water Utilities project. In addition, she directs many environmental studies for environmentally sensitive areas and potential conservation sites.

As owner of  The Great Outdoors Restaurant in High Springs, Florida, Karen was also honored to receive Florida Trends - Golden Spoon award, Florida Main Streets -  Business of the Year award and Florida Monthly Magazine's -  Best New Restaurant award.
